English Journalist: England Will Regret letting Iwobi Play For Nigeria

Following Alex Iwobi stellar performances for Arsenal, respected English journalist Sami Mokbel who writes for the online version of Dailymail says England will regret losing the 20 year old to Nigeria.

In the past Nigeria have lost players with dual nationality to England at senior level. The most recent being Dele Alli and Ross Barkley of Tottenham Hotspur and Everton respectively.

However Iwobi who was yesterday voted Man of the Match in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Chelsea. The third the 20 year old has won since breaking into the first time dared to be different.

Iwobi represented England at youth level before switching to play for Nigeria at senior level. A move Mokbel believes England will regret in the future judging by his recent performances for Arsenal.

“England will regret letting Alex Iwobi through their fingers. The Arsenal youngster is a star in the making but turned down England to play for Nigeria.

“The biggest compliment Arsene Wenger could pay him on Saturday was the fact he played him in such a stellar fixture.
