Nigeria international goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has departed Cyprus side Enosis Neon Paralimni following the expiration of his deal, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
The 25 year old who has one cap for the senior national team of Nigeria joined the team last summer on a free transfer from Israeli side Hapoel Jerusalem on an initial one year deal.
He made the most of it by becoming the first choice goalkeeper of the team playing in 32 games in all competitions, where he kept ten clean sheets and conceded 45 goals.
Aside that he won six man of the match awards and was once voted the player of the month in the league. His deal was however not extended after both parties failed to reach an agreement on personal terms.
Adeleye a former goalkeeper for Nigeria at U17 level is now available on a free transfer, and as at the time of this report he isn’t linked to any team but sources say their is the likelihood of him joining another team in Cyprus or possibly a return to Israel where he spent four seasons.
