Newly capped Nigeria international defender Felix Agu has told his Werder Bremen teammate Justin Njinmah that he will be the next to make his senior international debut for the senior national team of Nigeria.
Both players are of Nigerian descent and have made clear their interest to represent the senior national team of Nigeria despite being eligible to play for Germany. So far Agu has gotten his dream as he starred in the Unity Cup final win over Jamaica by playing for over 80 minutes in the 5-4 shoot out win after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
The Werder Bremen man posted his excitement at playing for Nigeria, five years after turning down the opportunity in favour of representing Germany when he was first approached by former coach Gernot Rohr.
Njinmah was among those who congratulated the 25 year old on his debut , and drew a reaction from Agu who responded by saying ” u next”, he posted in reaction to Njinmah’s comment ” my brothaaa”.
Last season Njinmah who is traditionally a right winger played 26 games in the Bundesliga and picked up three goals and four assists.
