Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle is willing to challenge the Netherlands for the international future of Strasbourg forward Emanuel Emegha, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively report.
Emegha is eligible for Nigeria through his parents and as a youngster he voiced his intentions to play for Nigeria while at Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam, and was a teammate of Nigeria international goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.
He has since represented the Netherlands at various youth levels and recent reports say he is likely to get an invitation to the senior national team after his tally of 14 goals and three assists in 27 Ligue 1 games.
Despite that Chelle is hoping he can convince the 22 year old to have a change of mind and consider playing for Nigeria, and like we exclusively reported the pair were supposed to meet in France to discuss on the proposal of playing for Super Eagles.
