The decision by Victor Osimhen to accept a move to Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal as revealed byJacob Ben has alerted Italian Serie A side Juventus, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Out on loan to Turkish side Galatasary from Napoli, Osimhen has smashed a personal best record for goals with 33 in all tournaments this season with 24 in the Turkish league, 3 in the Cup and six in the Europa League.
Napoli are open to letting him leave in the summer upon the expiration of his loan deal and a fee of around €75m is said to be his new release clause. That fee is what has alerted Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia the push for his signing according to Jacob.
Speaking on The Football Terrace YouTube channel, Jacobs emphasised that Osimhen was keen on heading to Saudi Arabia last summer as the money was simply ‘too good to turn down.’ He expects Al-Hilal to make a real push for the Nigerian in the coming weeks.
“Saudi may return, and it won’t obviously be Al-Ahli because they’ve already got Ivan Toney, but keep an eye on Al-Hilal ahead of the Club World Cup because Osimhen is on their radar.
“Osimhen already said he wants to go to Saudi, the money is too good to turn down, and I think we are going to see in the next two to three weeks another Saudi push for Osimhen. I think probably a move outside of the Premier League, unless Osimhen changes his demands, is looking like the most likely scenario.”
However reports this morning in Italy says the 26 year old is also a subject of interest to Juventus who are willing to pay above his release clause, which is only valid for team outside Italy by offering Napoli a fee in excess of €85 using favourable add ons, clauses and bonuses.
Corriere dello Sport say the decision will be up to Napoli, who are keen on making the most of his expected transfer for bolster other areas of their team.
