One time Super Eagles invitee Noah Sarenren-Bazee has opened up on how he missed out on a chance of becoming a star with the senior national team of Nigeria following his decision to pledge his international allegiance to Nigeria ahead of Germany, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Born in Germany to parents of Nigerian descent, the now 28 year old who plays in the German third division for Arminia Bielefeld was called up to the Super Eagles squad for the friendly game against Senegal in 2017 but missed out due to injury, while on club duty with Hannover.
“Noah came with a knee injury and could not train together with the team so far,”Rohr told Hannoversche Allgemeine in 2019.
“He will be treated by us and maybe he can play on Monday. ”
He suffered repeated injury setbacks and after four years at Augsburg where he made just 31 appearances he was let loose leading to his decision to start afresh with Arminia Bielefeld.
” It’s a fresh start for me now. I feel really good with my body and can now fully trust myself in all situations. I could have been a star with the Nigerian team after my decision to commit to Nigeria at 22. It didn’t work out and I have to take it with the hope that I have a good career to reflect on”, Bazee told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
