Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen has made bare his transfer plans for the future as his loan spell with Turkish side Galatasary draws to an end, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Osimhen joined the team on a season long loan deal from Napoli, with the option of the team making the deal permanent but despite hitting 21 goals in 24 league games there are fears that Gala won’t be able to afford him on a permanent basis.
He addressed such concerns about his future with Napoli set to demand an excess of €75m for his departure in summer, when his loan deal will expire.
Speaking to NTV, Osimhen said: “Galatasaray will always be in my heart.
“There are always rumours about me, I think about the present. I am enjoying this moment; the fans always support me. At the right time, the best decision for everyone will be made.”
Reacting, the Vice President of Galatasary explained that they are hopeful of keeping the 26 year old on a a permanent deal, despite the fact that his salary demand of around €11m a year might be too much for the club to handle.
“His words don’t mean he’s leaving,” he told AS. “He said that even if he left in the worst-case scenario, Galatasaray would always be in his heart. But he didn’t say he’s leaving. We want him to stay with us.”
