Head coach of Rwanda Adel Amrouche says his team made it easy for the Super Eagles of Nigeria to claim a 2-0 win with the way they played in yesterday’s world cup qualifiers, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
A first half brace from Victor Osimhen in the 10th and three minutes into time added on before the half time break settled the game in favour of the Nigerians.
Amrouche who was only recently appointed as coach faulted the manner which they conceded both goals, terming it as a gift which he says is unacceptable at this level, especially with their president present at the stadium.
“We conceded very early inside the first ten minutes. I am not sad because in football you can concede but they (Super Eagles)were not superior than us. We gave them presents”, the coach explained.
“I am very ashamed today. We can’t give such performance like this today in front of all these fans and the President Paul Kagame. I hate losing. I am a bad loser. We do very well against Lesotho.”
“There are somethings we need to correct in this team. No problem, we lost and will regroup and go again in our next game.”
