Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has decided on the players that will represent the team in the upcoming world cup qualifiers games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe respectively, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) made public a list of 39 players picked in the provisional list by the coach, saying the number will be trimmed to 23 after the conclusion of games this weekend in the various leagues from where the players were picked.
Per what we exclusively gathered 15 players got provisional letter of invitation while the rest were handed direct invitation for the games , and even received their flight ticket to Kigali for the first game on the 21st against Rwanda.
There are also strong indication that the number will be reduced to either 24 or 25, and not the 23 that was contained in the press statement that accompanied the unveiling of the squad list for the games.
Chelle is said to have already placed four players on standby owing to doubts around four players named in the original list for both games, expected to be made public in two weeks time.
