The immediate future of Nigeria international winger Samuel Chukwueze at Italian Serie A side AC Milan is not sure with English Premier League side Aston Villa pushing for his signing, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Chukwueze has struggled to get going since joining the Italian side two summers ago, and with the coming of Sergio Conceiçao who replaced Paulo Fonseca, who had high hopes in the Nigerian a move away looks very more likely before the close of the January transfer window.
Villa whose coach Unai Emery and sporting director Monchi worked with the 25 year old at Villarreal are hoping for a reunion soon, although their proposal will likely be a loan deal with the option of buying him in the summer.
This is despite the fact that there initial idea of swapping him with Jaden Philogene isn’t feasible anymore with the young Englishman few details away from joining fellow English Premier League side Ipswich Town.
Preliminary contacts have been made with his camp, and they are not entirely opposed to the idea as they believe a fresh start could help him get back to his best levels with regular game time.
