As the January transfer window draws near a host of players are expected to be on the move particularly those who are deemed surplus to requirements by their respective teams, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
A lot of Nigerian players are expected to be involved when the window gets into full swing, but AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze isn’t sold out on a move to English Premier League side Aston Villa after sealing a starting spot under new coach Paulo Fonseca.
Chukwueze is said to be of interest to Villa with coach Unai Emery and Sporting director Momchi all familiar with his game, following their time together at Villarreal pushing for his signing in ten window, as they didn’t replace Moussa Diaby who left the team in the summer to Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia.
Their aim is to have the Nigerian on loan with an option to buy but anything other than an outright sale won’t be entertained by AC Milan, something that Villa can’t afford now due to their financial status which is on the edge of the English Premier League sustainability rule (PSR).
Already preliminary talks have taken place with his camp , but that was around a month ago when he wasn’t a starter in the plans of Fonseca but all that have changed since the return of club football after the last international break three weeks ago.
