Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Austine Eguavoen is a huge admirer of FC Porto striker Samuel Omorodion, who is still eligible for Nigeria despite winning the gold medal of the recently concluded Olympic games with the Spanish team, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Eguavoen who extended his message of goodwill to the 20 year old after his feat with the Spanish team is hopeful that the forward will have a change of mind, and opt for the Super Eagles per what we gathered.
Omorodion has put behind the disappointment of a failed move to English Premier League side Chelsea in the summer transfer window by making the best of his move to FC Porto from Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
He has found the back of the net three times in as many games helping FC Porto to stay in touch with the league leaders as they are second with just three points behind the leaders after six games.

The task will however be an uphill one for Eguavoen as the forward has already given his reasons why he prefers to play for Spain ahead of Nigeria last year.
“Spain has given me the opportunity, and I am very grateful for it. I don’t think about Nigeria. My goal is to debut with the senior side and build my career here in Spain,” Omorodion stated, as quoted by AS.
