A note of warning has been sounded to the first choice striker of the senior national team of Nigeria Victor Osimhen from a former star of the team in the wake of his recent verbal attack on former coach of the team Finidi George, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Osimhen went on his page on Instagram to fire back at the coach on a report credited to the coach, where his commitment to the team was questioned after missing their recent games which was the 1-1 draw against South Africa and the 1-2 defeat to Benin Republic in the 2026 world cup qualifiers.
Finidi has resigned from his post, but according to former Super Eagles star defender Taribo West such kind of misconduct cost him a move to Manchester United and Arsenal respectively, as there then coaches feels he will be too toxic for their dressing room.
Taribo threw his jersey at then coach of Inter Milan Mircea Lucescu when he was subbed off in a game against Vicenza and according to the defender that cost him a move to Arsenal, with Wenger the legendary Arsenal manger making reference to that same incident.

He said it was the same situation at Manchester United with sir Alex Ferguson also passing on the chance to have him in his team on account of that same incident. He advised Osimhen to calm down and not make the same mistake like he did.
