The coach of the Nigeria U20 team Ladan Bosso has shifted his focus to their final group game against Brazil after sealing a spot in the round of 16 with a 2-0 win over Italy at the ongoing U20 World Cup in Argentina.
Bosso who was filled with joy praised his players for playing according to his instructions but said they have to stay grounded as their is still a long way to go in the tournament, if they are to achieve their aim of making an impression.
” A win I feel we deserved especially with the way we played in the second half. The boys played according to instructions and it showed in how we controlled the game. Italy were really impressive in the first game which makes our win over them special but we still have a long way to go”, the coach told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
Looking ahead of the game against Brazil, who are now second in the group after a 6-0 thrashing of Dominican Republic, the coach said he has an idea of how he will set up his team and his intention is to give some fringe players a run out.
“I have outmost faith in the 21 players with me here in Argentina. For the game against Brazil, I will utilize the depth in the team by resting some players. However we will still put out a team that will be brave enough to get a decent result”, he concluded.
