The head coach of the senior national team Jose Peseiro has revealed his joy over his recent trip to England as part of his preparations as they get set to return to competitive international football in March.
Peseiro is yet to lose in any of the competitive games he has handled the team winning 2-1 against Sierra Leone and 10-0 against Sao Tome and Principe respectively in the AFCON qualifiers, which resumes in March.
Despite what can be termed as a fantastic start to his time in charge handling the team in competitive games, the coach isn’t leaving any stone unturned in his bid to maintain the team’s winning run in the qualifiers.
Speaking on his time in England, the coach rated his time spent there as productive saying he watched many Nigerian players in the country and also had personal interaction with the players, he also thanked the teams for their hospitality.
“Very productive time in the UK watching football games with many Nigerian players in action. Such a pleasure to watch them live and talk to them one to one. Thank you to all teams for their hospitality”, he posted on his official Twitter handle.
