While Akinbule is new to the set-up in Portugal, Balogun had a two year spell between 2013-2015, playing a season in the top flight and another in the lower league with Olhanense.

He moved to Cyprus last summer but after 10 appearances for Ermis Aradippou he joins Farense who are 18th in the Portuguese division two, a league where in 2014/2015 he made 26 appearances with one goal for Olhanense.

Farense battling to beat the drop to the third division in Portugal will be hoping their Nigeria duo alongside Paulinho and Marlon brought in this winter will help their cause to remain in the league.
