As the uncertainty on the future of Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis continue to go on at relegated English Premier League side Watford, coach of the team Rob Edwards has given his opinion.
Dennis alongside Ismaila Saar were left out of the team’s pre season tour of Austria with the idea of both players leaving the team before the close of the transfer window.
However with no real interest in sight for the duo, they were part of the team that defeated Wycombe Wanderers in a pre season game played on Saturday at London Colney. As a matter of fact they were both on target in the game.
Edward was asked about the chances of the duo lining up for his team in the Championship next week when their campaign get underway, he explained what will make him include them in his team.
“There’s no obligation to play them but if I see commitment and a good attitude and a real focus, then they are two excellent players who will help us win games,” said head coach Rob Edwards.
“My job is to build a positive culture and a winning environment. Once we do that, then my job is to pick the best team I can in order to win games of football.
“While both lads are here and are committed, then they will be at the forefront of my mind because they are very, very good players. They can help us win games.”
