Malmö of Sweden Nigerian midfielder Innocent Bonke says playing against N’Golo Kante made him understand why the French man is so highly rated in world football.
Bonke was on for the entire duration of Malmö’s 0-4 loss to Chelsea in yesterday’s UEFA Champions League game and after the game he spoke on what it is like when you play against Kante.
With two senior national team caps to his name for Nigeria, Bonke who operated in the defensive midfield position in yesterday’s game says it takes a lot to get to the level at which Kante is playing at the moment.
” Growing up in Nigeria we were told cars with V6 engine move faster than others and Kante has same characteristics. Hard to keep track of him. He was moving all the time. It takes a lot to get to that level”, Bonke told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
” On the flip side. I learnt a lot from playing against a great player like Kante and the experience will help me in my career. You don’t get to play against his type everyday”, he concluded.
