Josh Maja has sealed a return to English football joining English Championship side Nottingham Forest from Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, OwnGoalNigeria.com understands.
Maja spent last season on loan to Fulham in the English Premier League where he scored three goals in 15 appearances as the newly promoted side fail to beat the drop back to where they came from.
He returned to Bordeaux with Fulham not taken up the option of signing him permanently but he was told he is free to leave the club on a permanent deal of an offer which matched his valuation is lodged.
Nottingham Forest sent in a bid of €4.5m and it was accepted by the Ligue 1 side bringing an end to Maja’s three year stay at the club where he found the back of the net 11 times in league games.
The former Sunderland teen prospect made his international debut for Nigeria in 2019 playing one minute of their 2-2 friendly draw against Ukraine.
