FIFA Rankings- Super Eagles Now 3rd In Africa After Back To Back AFCON 2022 Qualifiers Win

The senior national team of Nigeria moved four places in the latest rankings released by world football governing body FIFA. It means they are now third in Africa.

Ranked 32 in the world, they are only behind Tunisia who are 26th and second highest ranked team in Africa. Senegal still retain their number one spot on the continent with their current position of 22nd in the world.

Back to back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers win over Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively aided their recent position ahead of the start of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in June.

Super Eagles have now moved ahead of AFCON defending champions Algeria, Morocco and also Egypt who completes the top six in Africa placed 33rd, 34th and 46th respectively in the world.
