Former Heartland of Owerri forward Stanley Ohawuchi has now move one goal clear in the race to become top scorer in the top flight league in Egypt.

He presently has a goal per game ratio of 0.80 among all the players with more than 5 goals in the league and his goals have contributed 11 points to 13th placed Wadi Degla this season.

25 year old Ohawuchi is now one goal clear of his challenger for the top scorer award even though he has played two games less than his rival for the award Ismaily’s Marwan Mohsen.

His fine form has not gone unnoticed as his 16 goals last season lead to speculations he is being watched by Egyptian giants Al-Ahly and with his form this season it will be hard for Wadi Degla to hold on to him.

A return to Europe might also be on the card for the man who has played in Spain and Malta before moving to Egypt last season and internationally he played for Nigeria at the U-20 World cup in 2009.
