Nigeria defender Maduka Udeh has joined Norwegian club, Oygarden from Slovak side AS Trencin after both clubs agreed on a permanent switch for the 6ft 6inch central defender, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Maduka in an exclusive chat revealed that he and his team mates have resumed personal training as games would resume in June.
The 22 year old said “I am glad to have joined this team. I could not play a lot last year because of injury but I’m fit and ready to go now. The objective is clear; I want to win with this club”.
Maduka added that he joined his new team in February for pre-season in Marbella, Spain but the COVID-19 pandemic has hindered his debut since then.
The central defender moved to AS Trencin in 2015 on the same day as Super Eagles winger Samuel Kalu. The duo won the Slovakian League and League Cup in their debut season in a team that already had 2007 U-17 World Cup winner, Rabiu Ibrahim.
