The coach of the Nigeria U20 team Paul Aigbogun has lost out on a big chance of having his internship at Spanish Laliga side Leganes due to the outbreak of coronavirus, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Aigbogun was offered the chance of spending two weeks by the club and he will be allowed access to their training ground where he will see how they are set up before and after the game. The aim is to further improve his coaching abilities.
Already he has spent time at Watford and West Ham United aside working as a coach for non league English side Chester as he continue to expand his knowledge after leading the Nigeria U20 team that crashed out at the first knock out round of the last U20 World Cup.
He is among the coaches presently in contention for a national team job after re-applying to keep his position as the U20 coach. In order not to stay idle he has been applying for internship at top clubs around Europe.
Prior to his appointment as coach of the Nigeria U20 team, the coach who is based in the United Kingdom handled Warri Wolves and later Enyimba in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
