Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has listed players who can fill the void created by the absence of Torino fullback Ola Aina who will miss the Super Eagles of Nigeria friendly game against Brazil on Sunday.
Aina pulled out of the game yesterday after a domestic accident according to the official twitter handle of the senior national team of Nigeria, which bring to four the number of players who have pulled out of the game.
Leon Balogun, Kenneth Omeruo, Samuel Kalu are the other ones but while Rohr called up Shehu Abdullahi, Viv Solomon-Otabor and Tyronne Ebuehi as replacement for the above mentioned trio, the coach didn’t call up any as replacement for Aina.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com after the news broke the Franco-German coach of the Super Eagles said the absence of the Torino defender can be handled by players in his team hence the decision not to call up a replacement.
” We like to have all our players because of what we are building. Aina played well against Ukraine and we wanted to see him more against Brazil. In the team we have Chidozie Awaziem, Tyronne Ebuehi and Shehu Abdullahi who can play in his position, so we are not worried about calling a replacement “, the coach said.
