A brace scored in the 18th and 46th minute by USA forward Sebastian Soto helped them to a 2-0 win over Nigeria at the ongoing FIFA U20 World Youth Championship in Poland.
Soto was left unmarked in the box when he opened scoring from a corner kick and he was on it again a minute after the restart with a smart finish to put USA two goals up.
Nigeria thought they have gotten a route back into the game when they were awarded a penalty but the decision was later overturned after a review by the Video Assistant Referee ( VAR).
The defeat leaves Nigeria with three points ahead of their last group game against Ukraine, who are already through to the next round of the tournament after a 1-0 win over Qatar. The USA of America are also on three points courtesy of the win over Nigeria.
