Enyimba FC of Aba says the club won’t stand in the way of Nigeria U20 defender Valentine Ozornwafor if any club meet their valuation of the 19 year old who is now viewed as the one of the best young defenders in Nigeria.
Ozornwafor fresh from his nomination in the CAF Best XI after the Africa U20 Cup of Nations he was called up to the senior national team of Nigeria before dropping a level to help the U23 in their qualifiers against Libya, which they won 4-0.
Although club sources insist they are yet to receive any offer officially from clubs in Europe but they won’t stand in the way of the player if any offer meet their valuation although they will most likely sell him after the U20 World Youth Championship.
” He ( Valentine) will likely move to Europe soon. We won’t stop him but the fee has to match what we think he is worth. So far we’ve had lot of enquiries but no official offer yet”, Technical Director Jude Anyafudu told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” On our part we will like him to move after the World Youth Championship as that will aid his development further ahead of his campaign at the tournament but it’s not a must. If a good offer comes, we’ll take it”, he remarked.
Pressed further on how much Enyimba will demand for the left footed defender, Anyafudu said clubs coming for a 19 year old with room to improve should know what it takes to get him and act accordingly.
