EGWUEKWE OWN GOAL CANCELS SALAMI’S GOAL FOR KuPS

Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) are still searching for their first win of the season in the league after two as they once again fell 2-3 at home to PK-35 Vantaa, in a game that witnessed contrasting fortunes for two of their Nigerian players.

KuPS lost their first league game 0-1 at home to IIves in their first game of the season went behind in the 6th minute of play but their Nigerian import Gbolahan Salami signed from Warri Wolves in the summer leveled the score five minutes later.

However his hardwork was undone nine minutes to the half time break when his Nigerian teammate Azubuike Egwuekwe scored an own goal to once again put the visitors in front.

KuPS ended up losing the game 2-3 in a game that saw them parade ex Nigeria U-17 World cup winner Aliyu Abubakar who lasted the entire duration of the game same as the other two Nigerians.
