Former U17 World Youth Championship top scorer Macauley Chrisantus is close to agreeing a short term deal with Finnish side HJK Helsinki, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Chrisantus arrived Finland on Friday and a medical has been schedule for today before the club will formally announce his capture on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract at Spanish side Real Murcia.
27 year old Chrisantus has agreed a four months deal with the option of a further year based on his performance in his initial stay at the club according to what our editorial team gathered from one of his representatives.
Last season he turned out for third division Spanish side Real Murcia and proved his well known ability to hit the back of the net, same trait that earned him global recognition in 2007, where he finished as top scorer at the World Youth Championship for eventual champions Nigeria.
