The Flying Eagles of Nigeria put themselves in a strong position to progress to the African Youth Championship (AYC) after drawing 1-1 away to Mauritania in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers for the AYC.

Ibrahim Babawo put the boys of coach Paul Aigbogun ahead few minutes into the game but the host leveled matters four minutes after going behind.

Mauritania failed to break down a resolute Nigerians side , who were also guilty of wasting several chances to snatch a win ahead of the return leg in Nigeria.

Here is how they lined up for the game.
