The loan transfer of Nigerian talent Kelechi Nwakali form Arsenal to Portuguese giants FC Porto has suffered a setback as the Gunners are yet to thrash out terms of the agreement with FC Porto, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.

Nwakali was expected to have a medical with the Portuguese team yesterday but final details of the move are still being ironed out, hence the move has been put on hold.

It is however expected to still go through as the player himself has confirmed his delight at joining the club that presently has six Nigerians on their payroll in the form of Mikel Agu, Chidozie Awaziem, Musa Yahaya, Chidera Ezeh, Isah Musa and Kingsley Kuku.

Financial terms regarding his salaries is still being worked out and Arsenal are also keen on having an option to extend his contract with the club as he will be left with two years to run on his deal at the end of next season.
