The training session of the Super Eagles of Nigeria at their training base in Essentuki witnessed a practice match between the players of the team in a manner of the possibles against the probables.
Coach of the team Gernot Rohr supervised the session and it ended 2-1 in favour of the team likely to start against Croatia on Saturday in Nigeria’s first World Cup 2018 group game.
The game ended 2-1 in favour of the team with players likely to start against Croatia as goals from Ahmed Musa and captain John Obi Mikel powered them to victory despite Kelechi Iheanacho netting for the B team.
Despite talks about the team reverting to a 3-5-2 formation, Rohr lined up the possibles in a 4-3-3 formation and as reported by Owngoalnigeria.com during the week, Musa was once again the star of the Eagles session in the formation.
