Manager of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr says victory for Argentina over Iceland and Croatia in their opening two games at the World Cup could play to the advantage of the Super Eagles.
Argentina based media outfit TyC Sports quoted Rohr as saying si during an interview, according to them, Rohr said victory for Argentina in their first two games could make them rest Lionel Messi against Nigeria.
While responding to how Nigeria plan to approach their final group D game against Argentina, the Franco-German coach said contain Messi is crucial for his team before jokingly suggesting he could be rested if Argentina win their first two games.
“Maybe Messi refuses to play against us, if Argentina wins the first two games.Nothing is impossible, the only solution for Messi is a collective solution, not an individual solution, but we will have time to observe”.
