Official – Arsenal Cancels Kelechi Nwakali Loan Deal With VVV Venlo , Returns To MVV Maastricht

Kelechi Nwakali has rejoined Dutch second division side MVV Maastricht after his loan deal with top division Dutch side VVV Venlo was cancelled by Arsenal.

Nwakali was originally expected to spend the entire season with VVV Venlo, but despite a fine start to his career at the club his performance dipped, and he failed to get the necessary game time that made Arsenal were hoping will help his development.

His return to MVV Maastricht was officially announced by the second division side, a move which delighted fans of the club as he became a firm fan favourite during his time with them last season.

Last season the 19 year old was part of the Maastricht side that almost gained promotion to the top division. He was in action in 29 games and found the back of the net twice.
