The B team of the senior national team of Nigeria popularly referred to as CHAN Eagles secure their spot in the next round of the tournament after beating Equatorial Guinea 3-1.

Nigeria had to come from a goal behind to win the game after a poor defensive set up saw them go behind from a corner kick in the first half, and the half ended same way with Sunday Faleye missing a glorious chance to draw Nigeria level at the death.

The CHAN Eagles resumed the second half with a better attitude than the way they started and ended the first half, with right full back Osas Okoro making constant forays into the box of the Eagles opponent.

From one of his forays upfront, he delivered a well measured cross which beat the defenders of Equatorial Guinea leaving Anthony Okpotu with enough time to steer home a well placed header to draw Nigeria level.
