A verdict on the international future of Chippa United shot stopper Daniel Akpeyi has been provided by coach of the team Gernot Rohr after his poor showing in yesterday’s friendly game.
Akpeyi was largely at fault for the first goal conceded by Nigeria in their 4-2 win over Argentina, and that howler has increased calls for him to be axed from the team.
The performance of the man who replaced him Francis Odinaka Uzoho also increased calls for Rohr to bin the shot stopper but the Franco-German coach of Nigeria insist that he still has a future with the team.
