Former Chelsea defender Celestine Babayaro says Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi is a better player when he plays for Nigeria than when he is on the pitch for English Premier League side Arsenal .
Iwobi bagged a brace yesterday as Nigeria recovered from a two goal deficit to beat Argentina 4-2 in a high profile friendly game played in Russia as part of preparations for both teams ahead of the World Cup in Russia next year.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com Babayaro who spent seven and half seasons at Chelsea said Iwobi plays better for Nigeria because he knows he is well loved by the fans unlike Arsenal fans, who are divided over his spot in the team.
