Argentina forward Angel Di Maria has revealed the turning point for Nigeria in their 4-2 win over Argentina in today’s friendly game played in Krasnordar.
Nigeria recovered from two goals down to win 4-2 thanks to goals from Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and Brian Idowu but Di Maria said the goal by Iheanacho was the turning point of the game for the Nigerians.
” What a match. We started well, successfully held them in the early stages of the game, but the goal scored by Nigeria before the half time break was the turning point”, Di Maria said after the game.
” We were physically outplayed by a very strong opponent, and we calmed down a bit, and we paid for it. It’s good that this is not the World Cup yet. We will slowly sort things out”.
