The Super Eagles of Nigeria recovered from two goals down to beat Argentina 4-2 in a high profile friendly played in Russia as part of both teams preparations for next year World Cup.

In the first half chances were few and not clear cut, goalkeeper of the Nigerian team Daniel Akpeyi gifted Argentina the opening goal with two avoidable errors.

Argentina were handed a freekick at the edgel of Nigeria’s box when Akpeyi handled the ball outside the area under pressure from Sergio Kun Aguero, who took advantage of Akpeyi dropping the ball outside the box‎ .

From the resultant freekick, Ever Banega beat a poorly positioned Akpeyi, who didn’t arrange his wall properly ‎as well to give Argentina the lead.

Substitute Ahmed Musa made instant impact by teeing up Iwobi for his second but Nigeria’s fourth goal of the game to put the Eagles 4-2 up.

The Eagles hanged on to claim a memorable win over Argentina.
