Gent of Belgium Nigerian forward Moses Simon has opened up on why his proposed to English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion this summer broke down.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com before teaming up with his team after helping Nigeria secure a spot at next year World Cup in Russia, the soft spoken forward revealed both clubs failed to reach an agreement over his transfer fee.
” I was devastated when the move broke down but I’m very happy and committed to Gent. My dream has always been to play in England and to miss out on a big chance like the one from Brighton shattered me”, Simon told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” Dissapointment is part of human life, and I’m confident that my dream of playing in England will come sooner or later by the grace of God”.

Asked about the possibility of a move in January, the forward who is valued in the region of €20m by Gent insist anything can happen but said a summer move look more realistic.
” I don’t think I will leave in January, but you never know as things can change so fast in football. That said a move away in the summer probably after the World Cup look more realistic to me”. He concluded
