Moses Simon Goal Maintains Super Eagles Unbeaten Run In World Cup 2018 Qualifiers

‎The Super Eagles of Nigeria maintained their unbeaten run in the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers despite drawing 1-1 against Cameroon in Yaounde.

Moses Simon opened scoring for Nigeria, and the Super Eagles hanged on to the scoreline until Cameroon were awarded a controversial penalty in the second half.

Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa raced to meet a ball into the box, but clattered into Cameroonian forward Vincent Aboubakar, who stepped up to convert the resultant spot kick awarded by the referee.

Nigeria hanged on to pivk a vital point from a difficult ground to further pull away from the chaisng pack as they now have ten points, and effectively kick Cameroon out of the race to be at the World Cup in Russia.
