Anorthosis Famagusta defender Shehu Abdullahi will start at right back against Cameroon later this evening, despite FIFA giving on loan Chelsea defender Ola Aina the all clear to play for Nigeria.
On loan Hull City defender Aina missed Nigeria’s last game against Cameroon which they won 4-0 as his international clearance after a switch of allegiance was yet to be ratified by FIFA.
Abdullahi started and lasted the entire duration of the game, and his performance has earned him a starting spot tonight despite the availability of Aina.
” Shehu Abdullahi will start at right back. No change in that regard, if Aina is to play today he will most likely be brought on for Elderson Echiejile based on what we gathered from their close door training session last night”, a team source told Owngoalnigeria.com.
