Head coach of Turkish side Trabzonspor has revealed that the potential transfer of the vice captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria to Birmingham City has suffered a setback.
Ersun Yanal made this known after their weekend league game, where he left the forward out of his squad as his move to the Championship side gathers pace, but it appears there is a little setback which is threatening the deal from happening.
However as reported by this portal, the coach revealed that the prospect of the seal happening will be clearer by tomorrow and if nothing positive happens, the 24 year old will remain at the club.
“Onazi was on the verge of transfer to England, but there were some issues so the transfer is off at the moment. It’ll be all clear tomorrow. Let’s see what happens. If a move to Birmingham doesn’t materialise, then he’ll start working with us again.” He said.
