As exclusively reported by this football portal on the 18th of June 2017, highly rated Nigerian defender Junio‎r Udeme Pius has completed his move to Tondela.

The top division Portuguese side unveiled the 21 year old yesterday, and as earlier reported by this portal his deal will run for three years. A move he earned due to his fine performances for third division side Sanjonense.

He joined Sanjonense fron FC Porto where he played for their B team in the 2015-2016 season, but failed to make the grade at the club which lead to his release.

Tondela were originally second favourite to sign the defender dubbed “Nigerian Sergio Ramos” but Rio Ave who were in the driver’s seat to sign him were slow in pushing through a deal on time.
