Manchester City have moved swiftly to tie their talented Anglo Nigerian defender Tosin Adarabioyo till the summer of 2021, the club has announced.

Adarabioyo was due to be out of contract in July, but City have extended his stay by four years, a sign of how highly rated he is by the club and manager Pep Guardiola who is currently clearing out some of the players not wanted by the club.

Already touted to have more game time at Manchester City next season, the 19 year old will most likely spend some time out on loan next season if the club succeed in their bid to bring in established defenders.

Since progressing through the ranks at City, the club he joined at the age of five, he has made four league appearances for the senior team, with his other appearances coming in the UEFA Champions League where he made two appearances last season.
