Wikki Tourist top striker Godwin Obaje says he is still wondering why his goal against Kano Pillars was cancelled as he thought it should have stood.

Obaje thought he has drawn Wikki level when he out muscled Alimi Jamiu in the box to fire past goalkepper David Obiazor in goal for Kano Pillars however the whistle had gone even before his effort went in to the net.

“I still don’t know what happened there, I was shocked when the whistle went but some times you have to live with decisions like that but I honestly think it should have stood as I didn’t do any wrong” He told owngoalnigeria.com.

18 year old Obaje praised his teammates for raising their game against Kano Pillars and urged them to go a step further by grabbing all three points against Plateau United.

“We did well against Pillars as a matter of fact the result wasn’t fair on us going by our performance but we have to put that behind us and ensure we pick up all three points against Plateau United on Wednesday”.

The younger brother to former Heartland,Warri Wolves,Black Leopards and Aso Chlef forward Joshua Obaje played in Jos for Plateau United bitter rivals Mighty Jets hence the clash means more than just a league game to him.

“I was once a player of Mighty Jets and the rivalry with Plateau United still remains fresh in my head, if not for anything I will like to win for fans of Jets, this clash means more than a game to me”.
