The Nigeria minister of Youth,Sport and Culture Solomon Dalung has rejected the resignation of coach Sunday Oliseh and wants the coach to withdraw his resignation letter.

The timing of Oliseh’s resignation which comes three weeks to Nigeria’s game against Egypt is said to have forced the minister to reach out to him on phone to withdraw his resignation.

Dalung owngoalnigeria.com gathered reached out to Oliseh last night immediately after he received his resignation letter and insist on the coach coming to Abuja for them to iron out things.

His intervention is partly the reason why the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are yet to appoint a replacement immediately as he wants all parties involved to have a roundtable talk for Oliseh to still continue as coach as he believes the timing is too short to bring in an interim manager.

However Oliseh is yet to make his stand known regarding withdrawing his resignation although his sacked personal assistant Tijjani Babangida has been doing his best to make him do a U-turn on his decision to quit the National team.

Babangida reportedly played a big role in Sunday Oliseh accepting to coach the national team and his sack as the coach personal assistant by the NFF we gathered also played a role in the coach resigning.
