RAHEEM LAWAL OFF THE MARK FOR OSMANLISPOR

25 year old Super Eagles midfielder Raheem Lawal scored his first goal in over 18 months to help his new side Osmanlispor to a 3-1 win over his former side Mersin Idmayurdu.

The last time Raheem Lawal found the back of the net was on the 23rd of November 2014 while he was still at Eskisehirspor and choosed the perfect game to score punishing his former side.

Lawal spent two seasons at Mersin from 2012 to 2014 and showed he hasn’t lost any of his goal scoring abilities scoring his side last goal in the 90th minute thanks to his Nigerian counterpart Aminu Umar who supplied him the pass.

Prior to scoring Lawal assisted Raul Luscescu for his side opening goal in a man of the match performance which the all three points they secured in the game moved them to 8th on the log standings.

He has being out of favour in the Nigeria national team since Nigeria failed attempt to qualify for the defence of the title they won in 2013 but his fine form for Osmanlispor suggest he might get a look in soon.

So far he has a total of 16 appearances in the Turkish lig for both Eskisehirspor and Osmanlispor that he joined in January.
