It was a Friday to forget for three Nigerian players as their respective teams in Europe suffer heavy defeats at the hands of their opponents in yesterday’s game.

In Croatia Theophilus Solomon failed to pick up from where he left off last year, as for the second game running, the 21 year old fired blanks but this time around unlike last week when his team Istra won, they were trashed 4-0 by Hajduk Split in yesterday’s game.

There was no Man of the Match award for Arsenal loanee Kelechi Nwakali unlike last week, as his loan side MVV Maastricht crash to a 4-0 loss to Cambuur despite his presence on the pitch for the entire duration of the game.

Super Eagles deputy left back Kingsley Madu was handed a rare start by the coach of Belgian side Zulte-Waregem but it ended up as a game to forget for the 22 year old as his team were thrashed 4-0 by Club Brugge.
