Super Eagles forward Moses Simon scored a hattrick as Gent bounce back from the disappointment of losing to Dutch side Willem II by beating Chinese side Yanbian FC 11-0.

Gent started the game with three Nigerians in their starting line up in Anderson Esiti, William Troost-Ekong and new signing Samuel Kalu while Rabiu Ibrahim and Moses Simon started from the bench.

Kalu scored his first ever goal for the team in the rampant first half display which ended 3-0 in favour of the Belgian Europa League campaigners.

Simon came into the game as one among many substitutes introduced by the manager after the break, and immediately made his presence felt by netting his first but the fourth goal for Gent to take scores to 5-0.
