Manager of Stoke City Mark Hughes says his team inability to get something out of their game against Arsenal, which ended 3-1 in favour of the Gunners was down to Arsenal scoring the third goal.

Arsenal recovered from going behind in the first half, by scoring twice and taking the scores to 2-1, but Mark Hughes side were on the ascendancy and pressing for an equaliser when Alex Iwobi struck the third for Arsenal.

On as a substitute, the 20 year old Nigerian finished off a move he started with Alexis Sanchez on the left of Arsenal’s attack to put scores at 3-1, and Hughes says that goal was crucial to Arsenal picking all three points at the Emirates.

” We can take positives from the way we’ve gone about it. We’ve taken a look at one or two things. We created chances and perhaps the difference was the fact that Arsenal took the opportunities that came their way bit we didn’t “, Hughes said at the post match conference.
